I like getting my teeth into understanding what is expected of a functional space. This kitchen is on the second floor of an industrial former mechanics workshop and sits on a long wall of a compact workspace.  The door fronts were made from left over flooring from the downstairs studio. The fridge, microwave and dishwasher are concealed on the left side and the basics of utensils and rubbish are stored on the right. Staff kitchens tend to end up being full of clutter if permitted. The long bench copes with staff lunch time well and the mosaic wall offers a tranquillity in what is a busy creative space opposite.  The simple industrial feel was continued into the staff bathrooms.
